The German-Polish Business Club in Poznań [Der Deutsch-Polnischer Wirtschaftskreis in Poznań] arose out of the German Business Club [Der Deutscher Wirtschaftskreis], established at the beginning of the 1990s as an informal meeting place for German investors. The Club’s purpose was, and still is, to help exchange experiences related to business issues as well asnd build a network of contacts with the local authorities and institutions. Following Poland’s accession to the European Union, the Club expanded its activities. It is now perceived as a connection point for Polish and German investors and partners from the region. The Club, representsing the interests of Polish and German businesses which, apart from striving towards economic goals, are also involved in cultural and social activity. The Club members are businesses from around Wielkopolska, primarily those representing mixed German-Polish capital, as well as the representatives of local institutions and associations.
